Junior Rachel Quaye (Westminster, Mass.) competed on Friday in the pentathlon and again on Saturday in the shot put at the New England Indoor Track & Field Championships at Middlebury. On Friday, Quaye collected 2780 points to place eighth in the pentathlon and earn All-New England honors. She won the shot put event over the 15 other competitors with a new school record distance of 12.36 meters, which was 2.28 meters farther than the second place finisher. She also set a personal best in the high jump with a height of 1.48 meters. On Saturday, Quaye again earned All-New England honors by finishing eighth in the shot put with a distance of 11.97 meters.
