The Elizabeth Kind Van Cise Fitness Center is equipped with:
- Olympic Lifting Platform
- the latest in BodyMaster variable-resistance weight training stations
- tons of free weights
- 3 Stairmasters
- 3 Concept II Rowing machines
- 5 treadmills
- 8 Elliptical trainers
- 11 exercise bicycles including Lifecycle, Windracer, recumbent cycles, Schwinn airdyne and Monarch
Other equipment can be found outside the main fitness center
Professionally trained, certified staff members are on duty in the fitness center to instruct you in use of the equipment, design a fitness program for you, and answer your fitness-related questions.

Fitness Activities
Pam enjoys running, biking, hiking, snow shoeing and Kayaking. She regularly teaches aerobic and fitness classes. While most of her fitness activities are for fun and exercise, she does engage in a little friendly competition from time to time.
Personal
Originally from California, Pam moved to New London in 1989. She has two children, Claire and Michael (Buddy), who are active in various sports. Pam is involved in the American Cancer Society and is very active working with individuals challenged with eating disorders. She has presented at conferences in the area of Positive Body Image. Prior to embarking on a fitness career, Pam taught music classes at the elementary and middle school levels and she still teaches early childhood music at Windy Hill School here at Colby Sawyer College. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time at the lake during the summer, gardening, and cooking. Ask her about her favorite low and no-fat recipes.

Shawn enjoys running, bicycling, tennis, volleyball, hiking and resistance training. Shawn enters 2-3 road races per year but mostly just exercises for fun.

Shawn is a lifelong resident of New Hampshire and currently resides in Hooksett. Shawn is married to his wife Tammy and has two children, Amelia and Emily.

Anne and her husband Jim reside in Grantham, NH with their two daughters, Ashley & Alyssa. She volunteers as a Girl Scout Leader, a Yoga instructor for the Boys and Girls club, and coaches a recreational softball team. Fitness activities have been a part of her life since she began playing sports in high school. She enjoys sharing her fitness knowledge with others.
