BETHEL, MAINE - March 9, 2010 - The Colby-Sawyer men's ski team competed in the USCSA National Championships this past week. The Chargers finished in 5th place, marking their 11th top-ten finish in the past 13 years.
Colby-Sawyer raced to an 6th place finish in the Giant Slalom and a 5th place finish in the Slalom. The Chargers were led by
Shawn Dunstan who posted a 2nd place finish in the slalom and 13th place finish in the giant slalom. Dunstan finished 6th overall and qualified for the US Alpine Nationals, marking the first Colby-Sawyer male to qualify for the US Alpine Nationals.
The USCSA announced it's annual All-American Awards.
Shawn Dunstan was named to three All-American teams. Dunstan earned a First Team All-American for men's Slalom for the second straight year and was named a Second Team All-American for the men's Giant Slalom and the men's Combined.
