SAN ANTONIO, Texas – March 12, 2010 – The Colby-Sawyer women's lacrosse team began their 2010 campaign with three contests over spring break in San Antonio, Texas. The Chargers came away with a 1-2 record and look ahead to conference play late next week.
Wittenberg Box Score
Colby-Sawyer began their trip on Sunday, March 7 with a contest against Wittenberg. The Tigers won the game 12-2. Freshman
Victoria Bove scored her first collegiate goal for the Chargers. Junior
Hannah Cullen also scored a goal in the loss.
#3 Gettysburg Box Score
Game two for the Chargers was a tough task against national powerhouse Gettysburg. The Bullets entered the game as the #3 team in the country and did not disappoint. The Chargers trailed 7-0 after the first nine minutes before scoring two out of the next three goals. Gettysburg scored 15 times in the first half and beat the Chargers 21-5. Freshman
Laurel Bauer earned her first collegiate points with two goals. Sophomore
Brittney Murphy also scored twice, while sophomore
Lyndsay French added a goal.
Dallas Box Score
Colby-Sawyer ended their trip on a positive note by beating the University of Dallas, 17-6. The team had nine different players score in the win. The Chargers got off to a good start against the Crusaders and led 11-3 at the half. Colby-Sawyer outscored Dallas 6-3 in the second en route to the 11 goal victory. Murphy and freshman

The Chargers return to action on Wednesday, March 17 for a 7:00pm tilt at Castleton State.
